Hesiod, Hyginus, and Homer wrote, in different times and texts, about Calipsa's wait. She has been waiting, forever, for a man. One she had fallen in love with.
Hesiod, Hyginus, and Homer were wrong: what she awaits is for the Astroides calycularis sprouting from her neck to encompass everything and turn the world into a sea once again.
